GOOD VIBES ONLY (Royal Rumble) è il capitolo conclusivo della trilogia GOOD VIBES ONLY, progetto reticolare sulla performatività nell’era digitale che nasce dalla volontà di interrogare come i corpi individuali e collettivi si relazionino con un presente dominato da flussi ininterrotti di stimoli, algoritmi, richieste di visibilità e performanza costante.
Dopo i primi due capitoli beta test e the great effort, in cui il focus era sul singolo individuo, Royal Rumble vuole essere una riflessione sulla collettività contemporanea: un insieme di soggettività esposte, connesse, sovraccariche, che convivono e competono nello spazio fisico e digitale. Il lavoro si concentra sul concetto di community, non intesa come insieme organico e coeso, ma come rete di corpi in bilico tra connessione e isolamento, tra visibilità e sparizione, tra appartenenza e competizione. Il progetto si configura come una ricerca coreografica sulla perdita del sé e del noi all’interno del sistema della rappresentazione contemporanea. Il sottotitolo (Royal Rumble) cita uno degli eventi più famosi e spettacolari della WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). Il wrestling sarà per il lavoro una metafora potente in quanto contenitore di battaglia, performance e spettacolo estremamente codificato e coreografato, e diventerà il “ring” in cui la drammaturgia coreografica si inserisce.

GOOD ‍VIBES ONLY (Royal Rumble) is the third chapter of the GOOD VIBES ONLY trilogy, which explores hyper-performativity in the digital age through dance. This network-based project investigates how single and collective bodies deal with a present time dominated by uninterrupted flows of stimuli, algorithms, and desired visibility. The research develops through a study of scrolling and of viral, semantically positive content which we are continuously exposed to.
Following Beta Test and The Great Effort, the first two trilogy chapters focused on the individual, Royal Rumble shifts its gaze towards contemporary collectivity. A set of exposed, connected, and overloaded subjectivities that constantly coexist and compete within physical and digital spaces. The project takes shape as a choreographic investigation into the loss of the self and the collective “we” within contemporary systems of representation, focusing on the concept of community understood as a network of bodies balanced between connection and isolation, belonging and competition.
The subtitle (Royal Rumble) was taken from the famous WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) event, which in this project becomes a symbolic battlefield, a “ring” where the mechanisms of conflict, exposure, and spectacularization are shown.
